You were minding your own business under the moonlight, making preparations for the monthly witch's tea party. But the residents of your garden had other plans! Now you need to deal with this nasty animated flora the only way you know how: blasting them to bits with magic!

This is a prototype, you may experience some weird stuff. Just a forewarning! 
If there's enough interest, we may decide to move forward with development!

✨ Mechanics ✨

Last as long as you can against endless waves of enemies!
Level up, gain new spells, and become even stronger!

Spells have 3 unique types: Solar, Lunar, and Tempest.
Each class of spell has its own properties, as well as unique reactions when combined!

BROOM supports keyboard and mouse as well as gamepad input!

  • WASD / Left Stick: Move
  • Mouse / Right Stick: Look
  • Space / A / X: Jump / Double Jump
  • Shift / B / O : Dash
  • Left Click / RT / R2: Cast Spell
  • Right Click / LT / L2: Secondary Spell (Hold)

Created for the Live2D Game Jam

This game was created for the Live2D Game Jam! It features a Live2D model intended to replicate a mix of 1st and 3rd person shooters. The model is the playable character, but it's also the "gun" viewmodel!

The model is dynamically controlled and animated in direct response to in-game events via Live2D's physics system. Movement direction, jumping, dashing, casting spells, and more all cause it to move and react!

This project was made in Unity, and uses the Live2D Cubism SDK for Unity.

The game's concept, core mechanics, art direction, Live2D art, Live2D rig, 3D models, particle effects, UI design, and music were all created from scratch during the duration of the game jam.

The 3D movement code and various utilities were repurposed and modified from our existing ongoing projects. This project also features real-time lighting and normal mapping on the Live2D model, which was created as part of our submission to the Live2D Creative Awards 11th.
